The Cat's Voice WV, Inc. (TCVWV) rescues homeless, stray, and sick cats and kittens to help control the overpopulation of cats in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. We rescue and rehome cats reported to us as strays or owner surrenders, pull from local animal shelters, and support local TNR & spay/neuter efforts. TCVWV is an all-volunteer, foster-based 501(c)(3) rescue with no paid staff. We have an active fundraising program and all funds raised go directly to care for the animals in our care, but the need is great. In 2021, The Cat’s Voice WV rescued 394 cats and kittens and placed 255 in loving forever homes. Each cat is spayed/neutered, given vaccines and needed medical care, microchipped, and socialized before adoption. We desperately need funds to support our microchip and vaccine clinics as well as to pay down our veterinary bills. We advocate for the care, rehoming, and spay/neuter for all homeless cats in this rural region at https://www.thecatsvoicewv.org.

Each summer, shelters and rescues face an added stress on their resources from increases in puppy and kitten intakes due to spring litters. In 2022 shelters are reporting higher than normal intake rates, with unprecedented overpopulation in some areas. They need you now.
