Little Wanderers is a non-profit, all-volunteer grass roots rescue group that practices Trap/Neuter/Return and Rescue in the toughest areas of New York City. We operate an extensive foster care network to temporarily house cats while they await placement into permanent homes through adoption. Little Wanderers rescues over 1,200 cats a year, with most needing substantial vetting and rehabilitation to ensure they are healthy and ready to go into their forever homes.

Greater Good Charities and The Animal Rescue Site are joining NBC and Telemundo stations’ Clear The Shelters pet adoption campaign to support shelters and rescues across the country by encouraging individuals to donate funds to help animal welfare groups with the most critical needs.
Each summer, shelters and rescues face an added stress on their resources from increases in puppy and kitten intakes due to spring litters. In 2022 shelters are reporting higher than normal intake rates, with unprecedented overpopulation in some areas. They need you now.
